Today's coffee shop is Caribou Coffee in Shawnee. The usual question was answered with a drink called the Turtle. The Turtle contains Caribou brand espresso, milk chocolate, caramel syrup, Snickers bits, and topped with whipped cream.
The flavor is cut short of being overly sweet by the sharp taste of the espresso. It's tasty if you like a sweet drink.
Caribou's staff is friendly enough and reasonably knowledgeable but programmed in that corporate kind of way.
It's not a bad place but, the search continues...
Have you been to One More Cup in Waldo? It's my favorite coffee shop in KC (so far). I'd like to hear what you think about it. It's a local small business, and the staff is very enthusiastic about their product.
ReplyDeleteGo there. Order the "Curious George", preferably iced, if you like cold coffee drinks. It has espresso, Shatto chocolate milk, and Shatto banana milk. It is seriously the best drink I've ever tasted. Make sure to ask if they have the milk in stock, 'cause if not, they won't tell you, and they'll just use milk with banana and/or chocolate syrup. I had it this way once, and it wasn't a fraction as good.
